Terms of Use
Effective: [LAUNCH DATE] · Provider: [PACKPROOF LEGAL ENTITY] · Contact: support@packproof.example
These terms are a launch template and require review by qualified counsel in the company’s formation and operating jurisdictions.
1. What PackProof provides
PackProof is a documentation service. It lets participants describe an item and transaction, confirm a shared version of terms, capture fulfillment evidence and export an audit timeline. PackProof does not authenticate users or items; determine ownership; provide appraisal, escrow, payment, shipping, insurance, legal or dispute-resolution services; guarantee delivery or recovery; or decide which participant is correct.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18, legally capable of using the service and permitted to conduct the underlying transaction. Keep linked accounts and devices secure. Information submitted through your authenticated account is treated as submitted by you unless you promptly report compromise.
3. Participant responsibilities
- Inspect the item and counterparty independently.
- Use lawful payment and shipping methods with appropriate protection.
- Describe condition, identity and terms accurately without material omissions.
- Confirm terms only after reviewing the complete record.
- Capture media lawfully and obtain any consent required for audio or video recording.
- Keep unrelated people, private communications, payment cards and government IDs out of evidence.
4. Evidence integrity
PackProof may encrypt evidence locally while it waits for connectivity, independently calculate file and manifest fingerprints after server receipt, record app/device attestation, motion statistics, network type, optional location and shipping-barcode context, and restrict ordinary users from overwriting accepted files. These signals help detect later changes and document capture context; they do not prove that media is truthful, complete, continuous, contemporaneous, authentic or legally admissible. A fixed device, missing sensor data, offline capture or barcode mismatch is a limitation signal rather than an automatic finding of fraud. Device state, permissions, network conditions and provider outages can affect records. Export and preserve important reports promptly.
5. Prohibited items and conduct
Do not use PackProof for illegal, stolen, counterfeit, recalled or regulated items; weapons where prohibited; drugs; explicit sexual content; human remains; personal data sold without authorization; fraud; harassment; impersonation; money laundering; evasion of marketplace rules; or infringement of intellectual-property rights. See the Community Standards. We may restrict accounts and preserve or disclose records as law permits.
6. User content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant PackProof a limited license to host, process, reproduce and transmit it solely to operate, secure and improve the service, comply with law and enforce these terms. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload it and share it with the transaction participant.
7. Subscriptions
Google Play processes Android purchases. Price, billing period, trial eligibility and renewal terms appear in Google’s purchase sheet. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through Google Play. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Restore purchases through the app when needed. Refunds are governed by applicable law and Google Play’s policies.
8. Reports, blocks and moderation
Users can report content or another participant and block future interaction. PackProof may review reports and take proportionate action but is not obligated to mediate the private transaction. Blocking does not erase an existing shared record.
9. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PACKPROOF IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” [PACKPROOF LEGAL ENTITY] DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT AND ANY WARRANTY THAT A RECORD WILL BE ACCEPTED BY A MARKETPLACE, CARRIER, INSURER, PAYMENT PROVIDER OR COURT.
